Classical Music 2024–25

Experience a new season of classical music at the Barbican – from international orchestras to intimate recitals and music that tells powerful stories.

We’ve got lots to look forward to this season, whether that’s an immersive performance of music by Hildegard von Bingen, an afropera that mixes western classics with African traditions, a celebration of music by female composers or an operatic retelling of a Broadway hit. Plus, there’s music from our world-class resident the London Symphony Orchestra, and our associates.

There are performances from some of the finest musicians, including Yo-Yo Ma, Piotr Anderszewski, Khatia Buniatishvili, Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Samantha Ege, Daniil Trifonov, Stephen Hough and Roopa Panesar. We’re visited by orchestras including Sinfonia of London, Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal with Rafael Payare, the Simón Bolívar Orchestra with Gustavo Dudamel; and the Carducci Quartet embarks on a series of commemorative concerts exploring the music of Shostakovich.
