The Manuals Hero Image

Help us to imagine a future built from the products, processes and places of our everyday lives.

We once lived as part of nature’s systems, and now nature is failing to live in ours. The Manuals is a long term project that, through a book, envisions a new culture centred around re-interpreting everything that underpins our lifestyles so they can become of use to the 8.7 million other species inhabiting the planet as well.

Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to feed into this manual by sharing your ideas for designing and building a sustainable future. In the evening, we’ll be hosting a round table with experts from design, engineering and science to discuss the ideas created throughout the day. Ideas from the book will be turned into land art which will create new ecosystems and will act as prototypes for wider infrastructure and system change.
