Circuit des Yeux with LCO Soloists

+ Valentina Magaletti

Experimental vocalist and composer Circuit Des Yeux performs her new album, alongside strings from the London Contemporary Orchestra.

Eerie and uncannily beautiful, Haley Fohr’s deep, haunting vocals sit at the forefront of her music, atop ambient synths, piano and organ. Her sound is unhurried and filled with space for meditative pauses – transcendent and hypnotic.

She’s joined by a quintet of soloists from the LCO; they’ll perform material taken from her new record -io, released October 22 on Matador, created during a period of grieving over lockdown. It is a collection filled with yearning that has grown from a smouldering wreckage: the ruin is no longer a ruin.

Support comes from hugely creative drummer Valentina Magaletti, who previously performed at the Barbican as part of The Can Project, tonight she presents a solo set.

Produced by the Barbican in association with Bird on the Wire
