Japanese Bookbinding Workshop with The London Centre for Book Arts

part of Make! Summer Workshops

London Centre for Bookbinding Bookmaking Workshop with tools

Try your hand at Japanese bookbinding with experts from The London Centre for Book Arts.

Participants to this unique workshop will learn the basics of Japanese stab binding and how it can be done simply at home. Inspired by the Barbican's iconic conservatory, artist Saskia Pomeroy has designed patterned paper specially for the workshop. Participants will be able to choose from a range of summery materials, including Saskia's patterned papers, to create their own notebooks to take home.

London Centre for Book Arts is an artist–run, open access studio providing workshop programmes for the community and access to resources for artists and designers.
