The next superstar of jazz, Lady Blackbird presents a wholly fresh take on the jazz vocal idiom with an unmistakeable voice.

Los Angeles-based, Lady Blackbird (aka Marley Munroe) embodies musical inspirations such as Billie Holiday, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner and Chaka Khan in her work, whilst possessing her own unique style and emotional intensity. Her debut album Black Acid Soul received a five-star review from The Guardian and features Deron Johnson, former Miles Davis pianist, in the band.

Support comes from DoomCannon, a London-based composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist spearheading a number of forward-thinking, improvised jazz-inspired outfits. Signed to Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings, he released his debut album Renaissance this year.
