Evening Community View

Masculinities

People painting

A free evening of art, performance and workshops for community groups.

A Community view of our latest exhibition Masculinities: Liberation through Photography. This exhibition considers how masculinity is performed and socially constructed from the 1960s to the present day. Barbican Community Views are free private views where groups get the opportunity to visit the Art Gallery, Conservatory and attend a number of creative workshops.

These events are specifically for community groups who may otherwise struggle to access the exhibition. Community Views are open to community groups, charities and neighbourhood centres. Please check eligibility and register by emailing [email protected]

The community View will include:

  • Free access to the Art Gallery
  • Workshops in the Garden Room. One will be led by members of brain injury charity, Headway.
  • Performances in the Art Gallery/Garden Room
  • Soft drinks and nibbles

Please let us know if you would like to bring a group to the Community View by emailing [email protected] with the date of the event. We have a Morning Community View taking place on Tuesday 31 March at 10am–1pm.
