Academy of Ancient Music

Cellist Giovanni Sollima joins the Academy of Ancient Music to perform jewels from the baroque cello repertoire from Bach and Boccherini, including concerti and solo masterworks.

With his unmistakable flair and intoxicating virtuosity, Sollima has long established himself as one of the leading creative spirits of his age, enthralling audiences with vivacious interpretations of the baroque canon and forging unforgettable musical experiences. Here he partners with AAM to both direct and perform, spiriting us along through timeless repertoire that remains a critical part of any ‘cellist’s arsenal.

The performance will finish at approximately 9pm, including a 20 minute interval.
