Grouper

+ Coby Sey

A black and white portrait photo of Grouper. The sea is behind her, her long hair is blowing in the wind and she is looking of her left shoulder.

Ambient, reverb-heavy dream-pop as Grouper performs from her new album, Shade.

Grouper’s - artist Liz Harris' - music is transportive: elegiac and haunting like a half-remembered dream upon waking. Filled with hazy overdub and reverb, yet sparse and intimately revelatory, the songs slip through your fingers like water.

Her twelfth album, Shade (released on Friday 22 October), features songs that were recorded over the past fifteen years, including first single ‘Unclean Mind’. Throughout, she threads a hidden radiant language of voice, disquiet, and guitar, framed by open space and the sense of being far away.

Support comes from Coby Sey a vocalist, musician and DJ whose experimental sound melds hip hop, drone, jazz and grime into dreamlike compositions.
