SUPERFAN: Nosedive

The Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Trust Award 2019

three people mid-dive

A contemporary circus show exploring hope and destruction, as one generation after another reaches higher, sees further, and hurtles towards a future they can’t control.

Directed by Ellie Dubois and Pete Lannon of Scotland-based SUPERFAN, Nosedive uses contemporary theatre and circus to artfully breakdown and reorder the natural relationship between adults and children. Dubois recently won a Herald Angel Award for her sold-out Edinburgh Fringe piece No Show.

Pushing themselves to the limit and dancing with wild abandon, hold your breath as the feats and leaps at the heart of Nosedive grow ever bolder and more impressive. Questioning when the fearlessness of youth transforms into the need to protect, the highly-skilled performers tackle how cooperation, trust and security change as we grow up.
