Roy Ayers

+ Nostalgia 77 + Neil Cowley

Roy

The Godfather of Neo-Soul takes us all the way to ‘funky heaven’ (The Telegraph).

Now in his fourth decade in music, Ayers continues to bridge the gap between generations of music lovers. In the ‘60s he was an award-winning jazz vibraphonist, and transformed into a popular R&B band leader in the 1970s and ‘80s. Today, he’s still in great demand as a performer and a collaborator, and is acclaimed by the likes of Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, 50 Cent, A Tribe Called Quest, Tupac and Ice Cube.

Support on the night comes in the form of genre hopping producer Nostalgia 77 aka Ben Lamdin and the unpredictable but infectious Jazz of the Neil Cowley.
