Jazz Faculty Showcase

Part of the Guildhall Jazz Showcase

Yazz Ahmed joins Jazz Faculty performers for the Guildhall jazz Showcase

Join professors from the School’s prestigious jazz faculty in an evening celebrating both recent appointments and long-time staff members.

Repertoire will be drawn from the department’s newly commissioned resource, Real Book. This collection of 144 pieces of music presented in lead sheet form is designed to provide students with repertoire to learn – one tune for each week of a four-year programme of study.

Featured professors include Simon Purcell (piano) who this year returns to the school as International Chair in Improvisation, and newly appointed trumpeter and alumnus Yazz Ahmed.
