Concertina Bookbinding Workshop with London Centre for Book Arts

part of Make! Summer Workshops

Detail of bookbinding workshop showing handmade notebook

Create your own concertina notebook with experts from London Centre for Book Arts.

Participants to this unique workshop will learn the basics of bookbinding and how it can be done simply at home. Inspired by the Barbican's iconic conservatory, artist Saskia Pomeroy has designed a patterned paper specially for the workshop. Participants will be able to choose from a range of summery materials, including Saskia's patterned papers, to create their own notebooks to take home.

London Centre for Book Arts is an artist–run, open access studio providing workshop programmes for the community and access to resources for artists and designers.

  • No experience required
  • Workshop duration: 2 hours
  • Maximum capacity: 25
