Roller disco

We’re lowering the lights, cranking up the boom box and rolling on down to the Barbican foyers

East London community skate group, Let’s Roll CIC, are turning our Stalls floor foyer into a roller disco with free skate sessions taking place over the weekend of Barbican OpenFest.

On Saturday from 6.15pm, we’ll be pushing disco out the way to be taken over by the whacky visuals and Grime and Afrobeat sound that collective Tim X Barry have become notorious for before their main Just Jam Reloaded set in the Hall.

Session times:

  • Skate session 1: 1.30–2pm
  • Skate session 2: 2.15–2.45pm
  • Skate session 3: 3–3.30pm
  • Skate session 4:  3.45–4.15pm
  • Skate session 5:  4.30–5pm

Info on sessions:

  • Pick up your wristband for a session an hour before it starts
  • Age restriction of no under 5s
  • Under-14s must be accompanied by an adult, either on the rink, or watching from the rest area
  • Capacity on the rink is 30

Family learn to skate sessions will be taking place each morning from 10.30am.
