Anita Rachvelishvili & Sir Antonio Pappano in recital

Pappano & Friends

A black and white image of Anita gazing into the middle distance, her eyeliner on fleek

Sir Antonio Pappano accompanies Georgian mezzo Anita Rachvelishvili, a singer whom esteemed conductor Ricardo Muti has named ‘without doubt the best Verdi mezzo-soprano today on the planet’.

But you don’t need to tell Pappano that: when they appeared in concert together with the Royal Opera House orchestra in 2019, their chemistry was unmistakable, with critics praising Rachvelishvili’s ‘golden voice in a million’ and Pappano’s ‘supremely subtle’ accompaniment (The Arts Desk). Tonight’s recital will be no less impactful, but on an altogether more intimate scale – between friends, if you like.

End-time to be announced nearer the event.
