Riot Ensemble: Too Much is Never Enough

Step into a kaleidoscopic world of sound as one of the UK’s leading new-music ensembles, Riot Ensemble, brings an electrifying programme by a new generation of creatives.
A technicolor whirlwind, Alex Paxton’s music hits like a Haribo kebab. Riot Ensemble were hooked in 2022, when they co-commissioned Shrimp BIT Babyface and they haven’t blinked since. Forget about good taste and revel in the mess of the moment. The same might also be said about the music of Anna Meredith, whose Brisk Widow was written for Riot’s percussionist (and Anna’s bandmate) Sam Wilson.
Whether you're a seasoned contemporary music fan or a curious newcomer, prepare for an exhilarating ride through some of the most exciting music being written today.
Brace yourself. This is music that refuses to behave.
This performance will end at approximately 9.15pm. There will be no interval.
