Join Peckham-based Shai Space for an intimate deep listening experience taking over our Rebel Radio Listening Hub. This unique curated session invites you to slow down and sink into a set celebrating pirate radio with music mixed live by DJs Kojay & Jianbo. To heighten your sensory experience, you’ll be provided with headphones and haptic vests, allowing you to not just hear, but feel the music as it moves through your body.

About the artists

Jianbo 

Jianbo is a Chinese-Vietnamese British rapper South London whose music uniquely blends UK sounds with the emotional texture of his diasporic background and perspective. For this special Barbican listening session, Jianbo steps into the role of MC and host, guiding the journey with warmth and presence, adapting his sound to an intimate, immersive pirate-radio-inspired setting. With Jianbo's musical journey spanning grime, UK rap and spoken word, we're in very good hands for this unique listening session.

Kojay

Kojay is a Birmingham-raised, London-based DJ making moves in London's underground music circuit. He brings a versatile, soulful touch to every set, blending jazz, R&B, deep house, jungle, and garage into seamless journeys. For the upcoming listening session, Kojay will deliver an all-vinyl instrumental garage set, weaving atmospheric textures and pirated-radio energy. Expect a rich, immersive experience that balances relaxed vibes with thoughtful musical storytelling.

Shai Space 

Shai Space is a unique, community-driven music venue based in Peckham. Known for its intimate listening sessions, Shai offers a different kind of musical experience - one centred around intentional, deep, collective listening. Through carefully curated events, the space provides an opportunity to hear another side of some of London’s most exciting DJs, exploring their musical archives in a slower, more relaxing setting.
