London Lives

A Barbican Library FREE Foyer Exhibition

An example of work by the group Phoenix Contemporary Textiles showing a cityscape

Phoenix Contemporary Textiles is a group of twelve artists living in and around London, each with their own diverse textile- inspired art practices which encompass a variety of media.

Their exhibition London Life brings together different aspects of the city where they live, work or visit on a regular basis. As well as celebrating some of the famous landmarks and architecture the artists have been inspired by train journeys, museums, green spaces, plants and everyday life.  Please note that the library is closed on Sundays.
