Broker (12A)

Relaxed Screening

A woman leans out of a van in a still from Broker

A mother embarks on a journey with two illegal baby salesmen to supervise the adoption of her new-born in this delightful Korean crime-meets-family drama.

A road movie-cum-crime drama from Palme D'Or winning Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda, Broker is an entrancing examination of Korea's baby box system and chosen family.

When a young mother discovers her recently abandoned baby has been taken by thieves planning to sell him on the black market, she decides to join them to oversee the sale. The unlikely gang are meanwhile being tailed by two detectives, keen to uncover their illegal scheme.

The film has a star-studded cast of Korean cinema royalty, seeing Song Kang-ho (winner of the Cannes' Best Actor Award for Parasite) star alongside Bae Doona (Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, The Host) and Gang Dong-won (Train to Busan).

This is a Relaxed Screening which is open to all audience members. Some format changes have been made which are detailed below but all are welcome.
