A specially curated shorts programmes put together just for our youngest audience members – all about our feathered friends!

In our shorts programme for June, we’re excited to feature the award winning animation, Shoom’s Odyssey.

When a storm hits a seaside town, the eggs in an Owl’s nest are disturbed and fall to the ground. One of them hatches into a fluffy chick called Shoom, but the other is not quite ready to crack open and it’s up to the eldest bird to find a safe haven.

Featuring, gorgeous animation, this rarely seen featurette is a delightful story of overcoming the odds, finding your family and kindness. We’ll also be screening a selection of other bird-themed shorts alongside, Shoom, so please do check back for the full programme nearer the time.

Barbican Cinema 2 & 3 are located on Beech Street, a short walk from the Barbican’s Silk Street entrance. From Silk Street, you’ll see a zebra crossing that will take you across the road to the venue.
