Inspired by a remarkable true story, The Silent Twins stars Letitia Wright and Tamara Lawrance as the Gibbons sisters, two identical twins born to parents of the Windrush-generation, who find solace in a hostile world through their unique communication shared solely with one another.

Isolated from their community and environment in Wales, June and Jennifer Gibbons are tied by an intimate bond and a refusal to speak to anyone but each other. In an attempt to carve out a space for themselves, they develop their own secret language, which allows them to build a fantasy world in which their uninhibited dreams and desires can come to life.
