Online TeachMeet

How arts can support a diverse classroom culture.

A group of teachers sit around a table in the Barbican centre having a discussion

We’re inviting teachers and educators to join us in a discussion about diversity and inclusion in the arts as part of our latest TeachMeet event.

Be a part of the conversation and learn from fellow teachers, cultural practitioners and our staff as they present their ideas about diversity and inclusion in the classroom and beyond.

This free online event will include fun and informal presentations, an opportunity to connect with other teachers and a complimentary ticket offer to an exhibition, concert or film of your choice.

Once you’ve booked a ticket, you’ll be sent instructions by email on how to join the online session in the week of the event, along with details of how to select your complimentary ticket offer. The event will start promptly at 4.30pm so we recommend that you set up your Zoom account in advance. If you’re having issues accessing the event then please contact us at [email protected]

Want to present?

We invite you to present on any subject with a particular focus on improving diversity and inclusion through the arts. You can share something you are proud of or tell us about something that didn’t go quite as planned. There are two presenting formats; a seven-minute ‘Micro’ presentation and a three-minute ‘Nano’ presentation.

If you wish to present in addition to attending, please contact [email protected] with ‘TeachMeet Presentation’ in the subject line, and details on what you’d like to share.

Please note: presentation slots are for teachers in the first instance. If other organisations want to present, please get in touch to propose a presentation. We will confirm if there is space closer to the date.
