To the Moon and Back

M-SET

an image of the moon

Create imaginary worlds in this immersive, participatory experience for ages 3 months to 4 years and their parents/carers, inspired by the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.

With a simple knock on a front door, you and your little one will share a multi-sensory journey of discovery into interactive spaces of touch, colour, sound and special effects. You’ll encounter props and scenes that conjure the natural world, made of unusual and tactile materials, from feather rain to velvet stars. And you’ll also be shown ideas on how everyday objects can be turned into tools for creativity and fun at home.

Artistic Director and founder of M-SET Paula Manning invents delightful installations combining live music, drama, visual arts and design that stimulates the senses. In this participatory, promenade experience young children and parents/carers are encouraged to interact and explore the installation. Everyone requires a ticket, including babies.

Part of Life Rewired

A season exploring what it means to be human when technology is changing everything

Sessions

The 10am and 11.30am performances will be baby shows, aimed at children from 3–14 months.  They will be gentler and have interactions that are suitable for babies only and their development during that phase of life.

The later performances at 1.30pm and 3pm will be for children aged 3 months–4 years and will have all the delights of the baby shows but will be more full-bodied and physical.

Both shows are suitable for babies so if you are bringing a baby and a child we would recommend booking for one of the later performances. We want everyone to feel totally relaxed, so this means we don’t want our very youngest audience members to be overwhelmed by children who might be slightly too old for the performance.
