The much-anticipated follow up from Moonlight director Barry Jenkins is an emotionally charged portrait of a young black couple in 1970s New York City.

Based on the novel by James Baldwin, If Beale Street Could Talk is the story of Tish (KiKi Layne), a Harlem woman newly engaged to her childhood friend Fonny (Stephan James), whose world is rocked when Fonny is falsely accused of rape.

While he awaits sentencing behind bars, Tish discovers she is pregnant with her first child and, with help of those around her, races against the clock to prove his innocence.

It is a celebration of love told through the story of a young couple, their families and their lives, trying to bring about justice through love, for love and the promise of the American dream.

The stellar support cast includes Regina King as Tish's mother, in a role with Oscar® buzz.
