Vladimir Ashkenazy and Southbank Sinfonia

Throughout history, composers have spun magic around traditional dance forms. Vladimir Ashkenazy conducts three propulsive masterpieces with the acclaimed orchestra, Southbank Sinfonia.

Ancient dance models are reinvigorated with fresh ingenuity by Prokofiev and Grieg while Beethoven’s Symphony No.7 received the highest praise from Wagner, crowning it the ‘apotheosis of dance’.

Southbank Sinfonia invest classic repertoire with fresh energy and relevance, recently performing centre stage in the five-star production of the National Theatre’s Amadeus.
