Tigran Hamasyan

with special guest Nils Petter Molvær

Tigran Hamasyan and Nils Petter Molvaer

Tigran Hamasyan returns to London to bring a fascinating blend of his own solo piano and choral works with the addition of guest trumpeter Nils Petter Molvær and The London Vocal Octet.

Tonight Nonesuch and ECM recording artist Tigran Hamasyan is joined by Nils’s affectingly fragile trumpet tones, as well as performing the intricate piano compositions from 2017’s An Ancient Observer – where he reflected on his return to Armenia after more than a decade of living in the US.

Hamasyan is an artist that defies categorization. His ability to blend genres is much lauded, but shining throughout is his passionate love of Armenia . Still only 30 years old, Hamasyan has already released eight studio albums and has gained plaudits from the likes of Brad Mehldau and Herbie Hancock.
