The Fight for Sex Workers' Rights

New Suns: A Feminist Literary Festival

Us v them

Authors Juno Mac and Molly Smith in conversation with sociology professor Akwugo Emejulu about  the control and criminalization of marginalized people  through a feminist framework.

Juno Mac and Molly Smith, authors of Revolting Prostitutes (Verso, 2018), speak from a growing global sex worker rights movement. Situating their argument firmly within wider questions of migration, work, feminism, and resistance to white supremacy, they bring a fresh perspective to questions that have long been contentious.

This festival is part of the Barbican’s 2018 season, The Art of Change, which explores how the arts respond to, reflect and potentially effect change in the social and political landscape.
