Rosas danst Rosas and Inspired by RAIN

MovE17

MovE17, the east London dance company, are joining us at Barbican OpenFest with two performances across the weekend

Rosas danst Rosas
Local residents from Waltham Forest and the Barbican join MovE17 to perform iconic dance work, Rosas danst Rosas by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. This piece, originally commissioned by the Barbican for the 2017 Walthamstow Garden Party is recreated with a large community cast, to be discovered as mini installations around the building followed by a mass group performance on the Lakeside.

Inspired by RAIN
MovE17, Waltham Forest’s adult community dance group, perform a work created by MovE17 Director, Clare Farrow which uses RAIN by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker as its inspiration.  Set to the original score by Steve Reich, this is part of a larger planned work that will include other community groups, including a primary school to be performed at the Walthamstow Garden Party 2018.
