Her (15) + Presentation by Sander Bais

A still from Spike Jonze's Her

Theoretical physicist Sander Bais (University of Amsterdam, Santa Fe Institute) deals with the philosophical questions raised by Spike Jonze’s film.

Heartbroken after his marriage ends, sensitive introvert Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix) becomes fascinated with his intuitive new operating system named Samantha (Scarlett Johansson). Designed to meet his every need, Theodore and Samantha develop a close bond. But as Theodore becomes increasingly disconnected from the physical world, their relationship soon deepens into love.
