Join us as we take a look at the architectural office of Manthey Kula of Oslo, Norway.

Manthey Kula was established in 2004 by Beate Hølmebakk and Per Tamsen. Hølmebakk was born in Oslo in 1963 and in 1990  graduated from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design, where she now holds a position as professor. Tamsen was born in Halmstad, Sweden in 1967. He graduated from Lund University in 1997.

The office’s production spans from ideal, explorative projects to commissioned work. Two of its projects have been nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award: the Chamber Pålsbu hydro-electric power station in 2009 and the Akkarvik roadside restroom in 2011.
