Omar Sosa and Seckou Keita

Omar Sosa and Seckou Keita

Cuban Jazz pianist and composer Omar Sosa and the Senegalese kora player Seckou Keita perform tracks from their recent album, Transparent Water.

Transparent Water, their first collaboration on record, is a captivating dialogue full of serenity and a sense of gentle elation – bringing together influences from across five continents. Having grown from a chance musical encounter, when Sosa was an impromptu addition to the line-up at a 2012 gig at CLF Art Café, it’s an album born largely out of improvisation – unlocking a profoundly spiritual brand of music which spans Jazz, Latin and African sounds.

Tonight, alongside the percussionist Gustavo Ovalles, the duo elevate the music even further out of this world, demonstrating the sense of shared joy so evident on the album.
