Lee Gamble presents Models with Candela Capitán

+ Marina Herlop

Lee Gamble + Marina Herlop

Lee Gamble collaborates with choreographer Candela Capitán to bring his new album Models to the stage. Marina Herlop sheds her classical past and performs Nekkuja in her only UK show this year.

In an Unsound commission, artist Lee Gamble & choreographer Candela Capitán bring his new album Models to the stage. Through embodiment, repetition, mechanisation & the sharing of physical signals, the piece creates a liminal space between its eerie sonics & the uncanny movement of performers, mobilising it against limitations imposed on the body by contemporary technologies.

Merging electronic, noise, ambient and instrumental music; on Models, Lee Gamble works with a set of synthetic voices singing in an almost wordless language, reverberating memories of pop history.

The Catalonian, conservatory trained composer, vocalist, & pianist emerges in a vibrant, polymorphous form as Marina Herlop presents the product of her diverse sonic sounds in her latest LP, Nekkuja. After blowing away global audiences this will be her only 2024 UK show.
