Jane Birkin: Oh! Pardon tu dormais…

black and white photo of Jane Birkin smiling

Singer, songwriter and actress Jane Birkin performs tracks from her most intimate and open album yet – Oh! Pardon tu dormais… – accompanied by her band.

Her latest record finds Birkin in a reflective mood, with lyrics that reflect a battle-scarred yet still optimistic outlook, covering difficult feelings of heartbreak and grief, but ultimately acceptance.

Cinematic and expansive, the album is filled with soaring strings, chiming guitars and Jane’s signature hushed vocals. Created in collaboration with Étienne Daho, Jean-Louis Piérot, Oh Pardon tu dormais is a deeply personal album about love and loss, allowing us to get to know Jane Birkin in her own words and on her own terms: she’s always been known as a muse and performer, but here we discover the woman and the artist.
