Mirai (PG)

Senior Community Screening

A school girl and a young boy falling from the sky

Animator Mamoru Hosoda (Summer Wars, Wolf Children) returns with a fantastical comedy of love passed down through generations.

When four-year-old Kun meets his baby sister Mirai, his world is turned upside down. As jealousy for love and attention grows, he wanders into the garden and encounters visitors from the past and future, including teenage Mirai. Together, they journey through time, uncovering their family’s magical story.

An official selection at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight in 2018, and the capstone of director Mamoru Hosoda’s career, Mirai is an emotionally soaring adventure about the ties that bring families together and make us who we are.
