Eddington (15) (AD)

Parent & Baby Screening

Ari Aster's latest thriller is a contemporary Western, in which Joaquin Phoenix and Pedro Pascal exchange blows over Covid-19, conspiracies, and small-town politics in America.

Ari Aster is categorically one of the greatest writers of horrors and thrillers today. His latest project scoops up an A list cast of Joaquin Phoenix (who he directed in his feat Beau Is Afraid), Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone and Austin Butler.

When the local cop goes up against the long-time mayor for ownership of the town, personal grievances become local politics. Set it a dust-bowl in New Mexico, the film looks at how Covid-19 laid our values out in the open, and morality became mainstream.

From conspiracy theories, cults, racial inequality; to love, lust and Facebook live-streams, Eddington dives deep into the dark side of society, in a tense look back at one of the weirdest times of modern history.
