Enron

Guildhall School of Music & Drama

Man in smart clothing in glasses and with gold ring looks worried, covering his mouth with his arm

Mixing classical tragedy with savage comedy, Enron explores one of the most infamous scandals in financial history.

Part case study, part modern myth, Lucy Prebble's play charts the dramatic rise and fall of the energy giant whose collapse sent shockwaves through global markets.

This new production is driven by music and movement, with a specially composed score by acclaimed film and television composer Debbie Wiseman, a Guildhall alumna.

First staged at the Royal Court in 2009 before transferring to the West End and Broadway, Enron remains a powerful and provocative look at ambition, corruption and the cost of capitalism.

Paul Foster directs this exciting new production for Guildhall School.

This production contains adult content including frequent strong language, brief scenes of a sexual nature, themes of professional coercion and emotional manipulation, and references to self-harm and the events of 9/11. Haze and strobe lighting may be used.
