Tangerine Dream

Celebrating 50 years of Phaedra

Photo of current band members in Tangerine Dream

Pioneering electronic music group Tangerine Dream return to the Hall to celebrate 50 years of Phaedra, their groundbreaking seminal album.

One of the most pioneering electronic bands of the past fifty years, Tangerine Dream have released more than 150 albums, with seven GRAMMY nominations and influenced countless other artists. They've released numerous studio and live recordings; however, a substantial number of their fans discovered them through their many film soundtracks. Through the years their music has been described as surreal krautrock, new age, ambient, cinematic and progressive electronic, with an ever evolving sound.

Founded in Berlin by Edgar Froese in 1967, who passed away in 2015, the band's current lineup consists of Thorsten Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane and Paul Frick

For this show, they will celebrate fifty years of Phaedra, their groundbreaking 1974 album, performing a cross-section of music from their expansive career and songs from their seminal album.

Running time: 8:00pm-10:00pm (no interval)
