Nominated for Best International Feature, Matteo Garrone's Homeric fairy tale follows two young boys who leave Senegal for Europe.

Matteo Garrone presents the journey of two young boys from West Africa to Italy.

Seydou and Moussa from Dakar, Senegal dream of being pop stars. To chase this dream, they have to cross the desert and the ocean. The story is inspired by actual stories of journeys taken by migrants' from Africa to Europe. It was shot in Senegal, Morocco and Italy.

Garrone's drama is full of hope, heartbreak and truth, and looks at the harrowing realities around the world of those with dreams of a better life. 

Starring Seydou Sarr, Moustapha Fall and Issaka Sawadogo.
