Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry (15)

A middle-aged woman in a blue dress is sat on grass staring into the eyes of a man in a red shirt.

Fiercely independent Etero (Eka Chavleishvili) has her freedom challenged when she begins an affair with a local deliveryman, in a poetically joyful film from Georgia.

Elene Naveriani’s (Wet Sand) latest feature is set in a small Georgian village, in which gossiping locals judge the independent Etero's life choices. Her simple, solitary existence as a shop owner is upturned by an unexpected existential and sexual awakening.

Naveriani’s third feature is bursting with poetic natural imagery and charm. Pure film joy.
