Parent and Baby Screening

A swimmer with a swimming cap on smiles in the ocean, in front of a white boat.

From the directors of Free Solo comes a biographical drama about the 60 year old athlete who decided to cross the open ocean from Cuba to Florida.

From adventure and directing duo Jimmy Chin and Chai Vasarhelyi comes this gripping drama based on the memoir of Diana Nyad, the swimmer who, at 60, decided to push herself to a limit no other human had.

Three decades after giving up marathon swimming in exchange for a prominent career as a sport journalist, at the age of 60, Diana (Academy Award nominee Annette Bening) becomes obsessed with completing an epic swim that always eluded her: the 110-mile trek from Cuba to Florida, referred to as the 'Mount Everest' of swims.

Portrayed stunning by Bening, across from Jodie Foster as her coach, Chin and Vasarhelyi build a world of tension, determination and extraordinary will-power. A powerful film about extraordinary strength, ageing, and the sacrifices that come with greatness.
