Godzilla Minus One (12A)

Godzilla chases a small boat through the ocean.

In the wake of WWII, a pilot battling survivor's guilt is faced with a new horror when a giant monster attacks Japan in this epic kaiju.

Set during the American occupation of Japan after WWII, Takashi Yamazaki's kaiju film (big monster movie) comes out 70 years after the 1954 Godzilla movie first wowed cinema goers.

Following a pilot, a mother and her daughter, this terrific film sees stunning design on the monster of all monsters: Godzilla. Touching on the horror of the effects of the atomic bomb, Yamazaki's version of the big beast tale sees touching human stories interlaced within the terror and destruction.

Whether you are a die-hard fan of big monster films, or this is your first dip in the water, Godzilla Minus One is the epic monster movie to see this year.
