Arcadia Live

Will Gregory + Adrian Utley

Artistic, abstract collage of a woman's face with a projection of children inside of it

Portishead's Adrian Utley and Goldfrapp's Will Gregory stage the live soundtrack performance to the screening of critically acclaimed film Arcadia, directed by BAFTA-winner Paul Wright.

Released to outstanding reviews in 2018, Paul Wright’s Arcadia is an exhilarating study of the British people’s shifting relationship to the land. Through 100 years of archive footage, the film explores the changing face of the British countryside over the last century. Traversing nature and humanity, changing landscapes, rituals ancient and modern, it takes in folk carnivals, masked parades, water divining and harvesting.

Set to Adrian and Will’s powerful score of folk, classical, electronic dance music and archive recordings, and brought to life with a specially curated 9 piece band – featuring folk singer Lisa Knapp and a line-up of exceptional musicians and singers – Arcadia captures the beauty and brutality, the magic and madness of rural Britain.
