Traditional instruments invoke ancient sounds in a contemporary setting: supergroup trio Aman celebrate mysticism, contemporary jazz and subcontinental traditions.

A coming together of three virtuosos, Aman are a contemporary chamber ensemble deeply rooted in tradition. Their sound weaves a colourful tapestry of melodies and ragas, enriched with jazz harmonies and backed by deep grooves and rhythms.

Londoner Zayn Mohammed is an established guitarist mentored by George Benson, Ahmad Jamal, Wayne Shorter and more in his international career. A renowned tabla player, Shahbaz Hussain is no stranger to the Barbican stage, having performed with some of India’s greats in Darbar Festival. Working with Wynton Marsalis among others, Baqir Abbas is flutist and composer working across the worlds of jazz and classical music.
