Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra/Jansons

Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra at Barbican Hall

The combination of this supremely virtuosic orchestra with Igor Levit’s intelligence and Mariss Jansons’s profound experience should prompt music-making of quite exceptional quality.

If you’ve heard Jansons and the BRSO before, this shouldn’t need any recommendation. ‘Quite simply, one of the most magnificent things to be heard in London for some time’ was the Guardian’s verdict on their 2019 visit. This time, as well as works by Tchaikovsky and Weber – the kind of music in which Jansons is without equal – they’re performing Mozart with Barbican Featured Artist Igor Levit.

End-time to be announced nearer the event.
