Manana//Cuba x Jazz re:freshed

Space Afrika in front of a corrugated iron barrier

Bringing together jazz and live electronics with record label and live music promoter Manana//Cuba, contemporary music movement Jazz re:freshed and Cuban partner The Cuban Joint.

Manana//Cuba are forged on the belief that Cuba’s influential music, in particular its rhythms, enriches electronic music. In this one-off concert, technology and traditional instrumentation will come together to create new sounds as this collaboration goes above and beyond the constraints of genre classifications.

Featuring prominent UK jazz and electronica artists Yussef Dayes, Kevin Haynes, Sarah Tandy, Paul Dolby aka Seiji and Space Afrika with Cuban musicians Adel Gomez, Feliciano Arango and Ariwo's Hammadi Valdes, this concert follows on from the successes of Manana//Cuba’s ground-breaking MANANA Festival in Santiago de Cuba and Jazz re:freshed’s continuous work with festivals such as Glastonbury, SXSW and AFROPUNK international.
