B&W image of Jesca Hoop embracing self

California-born, Manchester-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Jesca Hoop performs her finely crafted songs, including old favourites and selections from her upcoming Summer 2019 release.

She’s what you’d call a musician’s musician. Discovered by Tom Waits, and brought on tour by Peter Gabriel to sing in his band, she has since written songs with Sam Beam (Iron and Wine), and it was a phone call from Elbow’s Guy Garvey that saw her move to the UK. Jesca is currently working with producer John Parish (PJ Harvey, This is the Kit, Aldous Harding) on her next collection of songs, a follow-up to 2017’s Memories are Now

It’s easy to see how she’s earned so many famous fans – her beautiful songs are intricately detailed, acoustic-led pieces that are teeming with ideas. Tonight, she brings these songs to the Hall in the culmination of a massive tour, her biggest headline show to date.
