A classic rags to riches story about an iconic American fashion designer.

A boy from Iowa who dreamed of "dressing everyone in America" became an emblem of the American dream as he came to reign over the fashion world and receive endless celebrity adulation. By the 1970s Halston was a household name and was known for dressing icons, from Jackie Kennedy to Liza Minnelli. 

Director, Frederic Tcheng (Dior & I) examines Halston's creative process and shines a light on his excessive personal life. The documentary climaxes with the biggest gamble of Halston's career, taking on Wall Street and moving his business in a direction that shocked the fashion industry.
