Architecture on Stage: New Architects – work by IF_DO

Four of the UK's most exciting young architectural practices join us to talk about recent work and the nature of their practice.

David Leech founded his eponymous practice in 2016, having spent 13 years working in European offices. The practice works across a diverse range of types, scales and budgets, from furniture to private houses.

APPARATA is a studio for architecture, design and research founded in by Nicholas Lobo Brennan, Astrid Smitham and Theo Thysiades. The practice recently designed an affordable housing scheme for artists championed by Grayson Perry.

Casswell Bank Architects was founded in 2015 by Alex Bank and Sam Casswell following a commission from the Hauser + Wirth Gallery for an artist workspace in Somerset.

IF_DO was founded by Sarah Castle, Thomas Bryans and Al Scott in 2014. The practice works at a variety of scales, seeking to create places to live and work that make us healthier and happier. Recent projects include the 2017 Dulwich Pavilion.

The Architecture Foundation and Barbican in partnership present Architecture on Stage – a programme of talks and debates.
