Paper Engineering with KUF Studios: Christmas Decorations

Create your own beautiful three-dimensional Christmas decorations from stone paper

Using a series of ordered cuts you will create unforeseeable shapes by bending and twisting the cut, flat sheets of waterproof and tear-proof stone paper.

You'll explore how the structures cast surprising shadows in different lights, which is the method Kia of KUF Studios uses to create her own paper mobile designs.

About the maker

KUFstudios is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Dalston, London. Kia Utzon-Frank founded KUFstudios in 2016; She trained as a goldsmith, designer and inventor with an MA from Royal College of Art. Her multifarious design studio produces gradient jewellery, patented window blinds, cakes that look like marble sculptures. View the website here.
