Modern Couples Curator Tour with Coralie Malissard

Visionaries Together

Installation view of Modern Couples, featuring Lavinia Schulz and Walter Holdt

Get closer to the art with this guided tour of our exhibition Modern Couples.

This tour highlights specific instances in the exhibition where the couple became a fertile sounding board that enabled artists to develop a shared artistic vision. Emilie Flöge and Gustav Klimt’s role as standard-bearers of the Viennese Secession; Sonia and Robert Delaunay’s all-encompassing promotion of Simultanism; Hannah Höch and Raoul Hausmann’s political use of photomontage; Natalia Goncharova and Mikhail Larionov’s Rayism; Varvara Stepanova and Alexander Rodchenko’s role as the ‘new man and woman’ of Revolutionary Russia; Lavinia Schulz and Walter Holdt’s anarchic ‘full body masks’ and Benedetta and Filippo Tommaso Marinetti’s co-creation of Tactilism will be explored.

Your ticket includes same day entry to the exhibition.
