Kusama – Infinity (12A) + ScreenTalk with director Heather Lenz

Kusama

The film traces queen of polka dots Yayoi Kusama’s trajectory from a conservative upbringing in Japan to battling sexism and racism in 1960s NYC to her unstoppable rise to international fame.

Kusama - Infinity explores Yayoi Kusama’s fierce determination to become a world-renowned artist. After making her way to New York City on the heels of WWII, without connections, and speaking only broken English, Kusama devoted herself to her one true love; making art.

We are delighted to welcome director Heather Lenz for a ScreenTalk hosted by Zing Tsjeng, Broadly Editor, Vice after the screening.
